Vincent J. Nardone, President
It is my great pleasure and distinction to take the helm of Audubon Artists, one of America’s most prestigious national art societies. Art afficionados, as well as our diverse membership, have recognized this society as an international icon.
A cache of America’s most notable and collectible artists have contributed to this treasure trove for Audubon Artists, since its beginning. One-third of our active membership has been with us for over one quarter of a century. We have become the contemporary generation pledged to continue this legacy. For this, I am grateful for the contributions of all who passed before me and those who are currently involved.
This year we anticipate sharing pertinent news from our active and associate members, to be published as a newsletter on our Web site. Also, we will unveil the new Audubon Artist’s signature membership mark, which is now in the planning stage.
Although we welcome new donors and patrons to help Audubon in its costly venues, it is our Active and Associate Membership that we depend upon to carry out our goals. Our Executive Board’s policy is one of inclusion with our members and the public in addressing innovative ideas to uplift this art society.
It is with great pride that I acknowledge the volunteer efforts of our Executive Board, especially in planning and executing the annual exhibit held in the Fall. This event makes its showcase in the galleries of the world historic Salmagundi Art Club located in lower Manhattan.
As I begin my new tenure, I look forward in reaching out to Audubon’s members and the arts community to enhance our mission within this age of information technology.
The annual membership meeting is customarily held at the Salmagundi Art Club during the first week in June and is open to all active and associate members, as well as invited guests. Please take this opportunity to meet the “Board” and share with us your support.
